Žralok bílý
Žralok bílý(také lidožravý)je obviňován že má na svědomí více útoků na člověka než kterýkoli jiný žralok.Žralok bílý je mocný plavec-krouží vodou u hladiny nebo těsně nade dnem a zdolává rychle velké vzdálenosti.Vyniká též rychlými a prudkými výpady,a dokáže se efektivním způsobem vymrštit nad hladinu.Jako ostatní členové čeledi lamnovitých dokáže udržovat své svaly v neobyčejně vysoké teplotě,což přispívá k jeho plaveckým výkonům.Obvykle se vyskytuje samostatně ale byly vyděny i páry nebo malé skupinky žaloků bílých,požírajících kořist,přičemž přednost mají větší jedinci.Hlavní kořist jsou tuleni,lachtani delfíni a velké ryby včetně jiných druhů žraloků.Samice jsou větší než samci a rodí 4-14 mláďat dlouhých 1,2 metru nebo delších.Tento druh je v některých částech světa chráněný.
ŽRALOCI
Existuje mnoho odlišných druhů žraloků. Někteří líně odpočívají na mořském dnu a živí se měkkýši. Jiní jako žralok velrybí a veliký, se živý planktonem, který si filtrují z vody. Ale nejznámější žraloci jsou rychlí dravci, například žralok kladivoun, žralok 
mako a žralok lidožravý. Tito žraloci se živý hlavně rybami a žralok lidožravý žere také delfíny a tuleně. Žraloci se spolu s rejnoky od ostatních liší tím, že jejich kostra není tvořena kostmi ale chrupavkami. Jejich kůži tvoří tisíce destiček podobných zubům, kterým říkáme plakoidní šupiny. Kůže žraloka proto připomíná smirkový papír. Zuby v čelistech jsou vlastně přeměněné plakoidní šupiny a rostou v řadách. Když se zub ulomí, vypadne a zub který roste za ním se protlačí na jeho místo a nahradí ho. Současně může mít žralok v tlamě až 3000 zubů. Zuby mohou být špičaté a zoubkované, těmi se dobře žere maso, nebo zploštělé na drcení měkkýšů. Dále se žraloci liší od ostatních ryb tím, že nemají plynový měchýř, orgán, který by jim umožnil vznášet se ve vodě. Když přestanou plavat, potopí se. Žraloci snášejí jen několik vajíček, ale ta jsou oplodněna uvnitř těla samice, na rozdíl od ostatních ryb. U většiny druhů se vajíčka vyvíjejí v těle samice a ta pak rodí živá mláďata. Ale u některých druhů jsou vajíčka chráněna obaly s rohovitými výrůstky. Tyto skořápky je možné najít na mořském břehu. Žraloci mají skvělý čich a dokáží rozeznat kapku krve v ohromném množství vody. Vycítí také pohyby bojujících ryb. Lovci žraloků u tichomořských ostrovů chrastí pod vodou kokosovými skořápkami a tak je lákají. Všichni žraloci mohou pomocí řady jamek na čenichu zjistit ve vodě elektřinu. To znamená, že dokáží zjistit 
elektrický náboj, který vytvářejí nervy v těle živočicha. V roce 1983 byl popsán naprosto nový druh žraloka, který měřil přes 4,5 metru a pozoruhodná na něm byla ohromná tlama. Dostal proto jméno žralok tlamatý. Podobně jako žralok velrybí se živí filtrováním vody a požírá krevety a medúzy. Dosud byly uloveny jen 3 exempláře tohoto druhu. Každý rok je zaznamenáno okolo sta útoků na lidi. Ale tisíce žraloků je zabito pro potravu nebo jaterní tuk. V obchodech se často prodává maso menších máček skvrnitých.
